little-sis

Welcome to our family blog. I started this blog to chronical the adoption of a little sister from Ukraine to our family in April 2005.

I update occassionally to show how the girls are growing and changing. If you would like to get updates sent to your email, see the mailbox link along the left side. Enjoy.

What do I do with St. Joseph?

posted Wed, 05-07-08

I've signed the paperwork, the sign goes up tomorrow, and I remembered that I have not buried St. Joseph.  I don't want to get this wrong, so those of you who have followed this, please let me know how to do it.  I think it is upside down, facing away from the house, but I'm not sure.

The house looks great.  As soon as it is on the MLS I will put in a link so all can see the changes and improvements.  My agent said there was even someone who wants to show it already.  I hope it goes fast.  Keep us in your prayers.

Depends who you talk to, but east coast tradition has him feet toward heaven, facing the street, next to the for sale sign.

Good luck with selling your house. Just remember to pray to St. Joseph. This has worked for us. Love, Aunt Ro and Uncle Andy

But Aunt Ro -- How did you bury him? If I follow Beth's advice and face him away from the house will I send the St. Joe vibes to the house across the street (as I read on the internet)? How did you use it to successfully sell one of your houses??

Want to bury it this afternoon so I need an answer.

Thank you.

Joann, we buried St. Joseph head down, facing the street, near the house. We sold our last home in 2-3 days. Then you dig him up after the closing and put him in a place of honor in your new home for a year. We still have him in a place of honor after three years. We'll be praying to St. Joseph that the sale will be quick. Love you, Aunt Ro and Uncle Andy.
